Fountain head

Fountain head
This is one of the books which I liked and loved most, in fact next to geeta (I mean Bhagavat geeta).Author Ayn Rand had beautifully sculptured the main character Howard Roark (Hero). His dedication and love towards his profession is awesome. Through this novel Ayn sends a message which is blending of philosophy and objectivism. Though narration of each character run over many pages, once you involve yourself in the story you will enjoy it. The novel focus on the message through each of the characters not limiting it to just hero character.

Story is about a young architect who fights against all the odds that are thrown by some of the stalwarts of the society against him. His indifference towards insult during early stage of his career and mild acceptance of name and fame after getting recognition for his work is an "ideal" one. His strive for reaching perfection through out the life without kissing frustration in any stage of his life is a lesson for professionals”. He is the person who can never get hurt by any worst situation of life. Serenity is natural state of his life which is effort less to him.  Ultimately in single sentence its all about "things as they are and things as they ought to be". "Fountain head" conveys that “man’s ego is the fountain head of human progress” - a must read novel by Ayn Rand believed to be best of her novel collection.
