Need change

One more senior player in Indian cricket team has stuck the rough patch... Yes it’s no one other than Mr. Wall Mr. dependable. Rahul Dravid. The career of the batsman well known for his classic cricketing shots is in danger. This happened earlier with other batsmen as well especially with viru, Dada. Time has come for Indian team selection committee for introspection. They have to reform their selection procedure which is must at the current situation.

One strategy already discussed earlier was rotation system. Now how much effectively this strategy works in Indian cricketing culture matters most. Indian cricket team is like a government (Indian) job. Once a player settled in team for more than 10 ODI then he will assume himself as a permanent member of the team irrespective of his performance. Later excessive endorsement money (not excessive cricket) spoils their so called form. A permanent rotation system for senior as well as junior will make a big difference to Indian cricket team. This ensures that no one is permanent member of team India, which makes them perform better. This system will always keep them on their toe and     it is less likely that any of the members including senior will rest or relax. If one find it to be a tough stance towards our player then there is always one more alternative - Short term opportunity scheme. Here players will be made to sit on bench once they start to perform poorly over 3 to 4 matches. This will always ensures that players will be striving for best performance along with that they don't loose confidence in them which may occur if they are allowed to play in their poor form continuously for 9 to 10 matches. This has three advantages. One is that short term opportunity will always make them to perform better and secondly they don't hit rock bottom as they will not be tested for too many matches when they are in bad form. Third point is that they don't get frustrate as there is a chance to find place back in team any time once they get into good form. In all way this system suits to Indian cricket team. Only thing that matters now is who will bell the cat?
